The Garden Opera Company will be presenting Carmen at Fair Mile, Cholsey Meadows on Saturday 22 June.

The occassion is being supported by the Cholsey Community Development Trust, Linden Homes and Thomas Homes, and is in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.

Carmen is a sizzling opera with passion, humour, colour and famous tunes. Directed by Saffron van Zwanenberg and sung by young and experienced performers who have been with Garden Opera for many years and are now performing at the major houses.

The event will start at 7.00pm and aims to be a fun and informal evening of open air opera set in the beautiful grounds of Fair Mile, Cholsey Meadows. There will be no dress code, but in keeping with the spirit of the opera guests are encouraged to attend in either a Spanish, cricket or garden party theme. Guests will be able to bring their own picnic to enjoy the grounds before the performance, and the picnic area will be open from 5.30pm.
